A message to our loyal customers...

The Solatio Shoe story continues, but changes are coming due to the closure of our Italian production. The stock of shoes will run out on some styles. Please be aware of this if you are looking to order this Autumn.

The good news is that we are gearing up to receive new stock from an alternative high quality shoe manufacturer who is excited to produce the Solatio shoe brand. You will not be disappointed. The new stock will be available in February 2026 with pre-orders being taken in January.

sought loud and exciting fashion as a strong statement of their identity.

Bringing on back the good times

Those familiar with the Solatio brand will know how popular these shoes were back then, when skinhead fashion moved on to smarter styling of the suedeheads and smoothies in the early seventies. Enter the Solatio 107 Boxtop which became a must have shoe in London, matched with a Crombie coat and red socks. Worn to the backbeat of Ska, Motown and Rock, these styles were a big deal in those formative years. The Crossover 102 became the Northern Soul shoe of choice, worn on the dancefloors of the Midlands and the North. Ideal for dancing with the flat leather soles and wide profile, they coordinated with the super wide trousers of the time. Throughout the seventies Solatio shoes influenced the men’s fashion scene in th UK and their personality is etched in a generation’s memory.
